Transforming a dated adobe-style home in North Phoenix presented a thrilling challenge for our team. With a floor plan that felt disjointed and outdated, we embarked on a complete overhaul to create a functional and inviting space. Opening up the interior was our first priority, leading to the creation of a seamless and open floor plan. The kitchen became a focal point, featuring standout design details such as a peninsula island crafted from reclaimed white oak beams, offering additional seating and workspace. Adding a playful touch, we designed a marble island with a unique segmented pattern, infusing modern elegance into the space. To honor the home's adobe heritage, we preserved the beehive fireplace and incorporated a steel bench around it, marrying traditional charm with contemporary design. Warm, neutral tones were used throughout, yet the resulting space remains striking and bold, a testament to the successful fusion of old-world spirit with modern sophistication.
