This project was a rare and exhilarating opportunity where our client's trust allowed us full creative control for the second home we designed for them. Their vision for this small home perfectly aligned with a design concept I had long envisioned. We embraced the house's Spanish heritage, modernizing it in a way that seamlessly fused the two distinct styles. The Saltillo floors were meticulously restored, and the entire home was plastered to achieve an old-world charm. We introduced arches and complemented them with modern elements like steel glass doors and custom concrete fixtures. Traditional Spanish materials were reimagined in contemporary applications, adding a unique flair throughout. The bathrooms were designed to be distinct and playful, with the guest bathroom featuring a completely black palette, a steam shower, and a whimsical monkey light fixture. The primary bathroom blended modernism and Spanish design with a serene, zen-like ambiance, creating a harmonious and luxurious retreat.
